Biologi Marin di UMT pt1

For my degree, i got offer from UMT, for course biology marine aka BioM. The very first, i checked it, i was so shocked and spechless too.

Like ape doh biologi marine ni. Waktu tu memang rasa nak berguling-guling menangis. And to make it worst, biom was like my second LAST choice kot dalam UPU. But, when I acknowledge that one of my friend (doing asasi at UPM, ASPER) didn’t get any offer, I started to be grateful like bersyukur la weh, kang Allah tarik nikmat baru kau tahu. At the very least, I still got something. So first lesson, be grateful guys. (cakap depan cermin)

Sebelum register di UMT, I was trying hardly to search about this course. And unfortunately, takde satu pun yang berjaya memuaskan nafsu hati aku ni. Like, first aku nak tahu la juga biom ni belajar pasal apa. At least, subject apa yang aku kena ambik. Dan yang paling penting, prospek kerjaya. #duititupenting

So, for the 1semester s’ subject (include TITAS and HE, which is subject wajib u):

a.     Introduction to Marine Science

Basically belajar pasal marine organism, hydrothermal vent, plate tectonic, marine sediment, waves and tides, oceanography, and etc. but bila ada word intro tu, meaning just belajar basic je lah. Klu nak belajar dengan lebih mendalam, sila tukar ke course Marine Science aka Sains Samudera

b.     Botany Aquatic

Ini subject yang paling rasa nak hempuh kepala dengan lantai. Mention botany, mestilah belajar pasal pokok kan. Tapi marine pnya plant lah. Like seaweed, algae, cyanobacteria, origin life on earth, mangrove,etc. yang tak tahan kena hafal nama species pokok. Like my blog punya nama. Try search apa maksudnya. Ngehe. Satu lagi, lab report dia buat aku persoalkan function aku belajar subject ni, dan kewujudan semua species seaweed yang ada. Macam, asal lah banyak sagat seaweed kat asia ni. Imagine, seaweed identification ambik masa approximately like 9hours of lab session, 2weeks of report. Urrrrghhh. Nak muntah hijau dah setiap hari menhdap seaweed. Tapi lecturer dia memang both thumbs up lah. Klu boleh, kaki sekali nak thumbs up. terbaik!

c.      Aquatic Instrument & Method

Method nak handle segala jenis instrument yang ada, cara nak sampling, apparatus yang kena pakai, in-situ, calculation, prepare solution, test water quality. Subject ni tersangat lah penting sebab nanti korang akan applykan wktu nak buat final year project.

d.     Microbiology

Ini subject yang rasa macam kacang terlekat celah gigi and relax tapi sekali keluar carry mark, perghhh. Macam nak bakar je lab microb tu. Idk whether lecturer yang strict atau my batch yang banyak main. Tapi subject ni semua orang asal nya target carrymark tinggi, tapi semua rendah je. Atas pagar. Sebabnya lab report dia lah yang paling senang, gaya lab report zaman asasi. Jawab soalan je. Compared to other, yang kau kena buat pakai format dia.

So guys, this is the first sem pnya subject baru. For those yang dapat, biom. Congrats! Klua la rasa nak peek-a-boo dulu kena dengan subject kat atas tu, feel free to comment kat bawah. Mybe I can send u a few of the lecturer notes. Ahaha. Itupun klua masih simpan lah lol. About that little subject`s explanation, that’s just roughly. Maybe bila baca Nampak senang je, tapi don’t go and blame me klu nanti apa yang korang belajar rasa susah okay. And strictly reminded you guys that this only my thought and experience. Yeah, macam orang cakap, lain orang lain opinion.
